We take you over rolling hills, through the village and farm lands, to the edge of Africa on the cliff tops and finish with a thrilling canter down the long Morgan Bay beach. Our horse paddocks are situated above the golf course at the Kei Mouth Country Club. This is the base from where we offer short day rides for local holiday makers and start overnight beach trails. We are perfectly positioned between Morgan Bay and Kei Mouth, and are a convenient day trip for guests staying at Trennerys Hotel or Seagulls Hotel across the Kei River. You arrive at our horse yard where you are introduced to our team and horses, given a safety riding hat and asked to sign our indemnity and recreational release form. Once you are on your horse, we check your stirrups, saddle girth and ensure that you are comfortable and feel safe.

Spend a full day exploring the 3rd largest National Park in South Africa with our expert guides! The original elephant section of the park was proclaimed in 1931, when only eleven elephants remained in the area. Today this finely-tuned ecosystem is home to one of the densest elephant populations on earth, with over 600 elephant, lion, buffalo, the endangered black rhino, spotted hyena, leopard, a variety of antelope and zebra species, as well as the unique Addo flightless dung beetle, found almost exclusively in Addo. The park can exclusively claim to be the only national park in the world to conserve the “Big 7” – the Big 5 as well as the southern right whale and great white shark off the Algoa Bay coast.Plans are currently afoot to include the proposed proclamation of a 120 000 ha (296 500 acre) Marine Protected Area which includes islands that are home to the world's largest breeding populations of Cape gannets and second largest breeding population of African penguins. Experienced guides escort riders twice daily along the 13km circular route. The trail takes about two hours to complete, leading through beautiful fynbos coastal vegetation, towards the Gamtoos river with breathtaking views from the dunes and finally returning along a 6 km stretch of deserted beach. Here on this isolated beach, riders can canter their mounts in the shallows or have an exhilarating gallop on the sand. The trail provides magnificent views of the area and affords ample opportunity to spot a variety of bird species, tortoises, bushbuck, plant and marine life. Imagine whale watching from horseback! You may see seals basking in the sun and the rare African Black Oystercatcher is always to be found near the Gamtoos river mouth. The guides escort every group and assist riders in selecting horses just right for their respective capabilities. This outride is ideal for intermediate and advanced riders, though in quiet times, we also accommodate first timers and beginners. Experienced riders can choose not to go with a guide and have the freedom to explore the valley at their own pace.
