Supporting the Next Generation of Global Talent: Partner with South African Champion Isabella Strydom
We are incredibly proud to share the phenomenal achievements of Isabella (Bella), who is quickly becoming one of South Africa’s brightest young talents in water sports. Following a dominant domestic season—including placing 1st in the U18 SA Canoe Sprints (200m, 500m, and 1000m) and securing top podium finishes in national surfski and lifesaving championships—Bella has been selected to compete in three major international events in 2026:
World Canoe Sprints (Canada)
Olympic Hopes Regatta (Slovakia)
World Surfski Championships (Spain)
Targeting qualification: World Canoe Marathons (Argentina)

Bella was recently interviewed by Pippa Hudson on Cape Talk, where she shared her vision, dedication, and the roadmap for the season ahead. You can listen to the interview here: LISTEN TO INTERVIEW HERE

Isabella is also a budding young entrepreneur. She founded Bella’s Rusks when she was only 12 years old. A small home-based business baking and selling home-made rusks. This venture has proven so successful that Isabella has built up a network of regular customers including a handful of coffee shops and local delicatessens. As a family, we are currently taking the required steps to get these products stocked in more formal retail outlets like Spar.
