This flight takes 1 hour. It includes a flight over the Blyde River Dam and above the Blyde River Canyon with a great view of the Three Rondawels and returns to Hoedspruit to include approximately 10-15 minutes of game viewing over the Big 5 reserves near Hoedspruit. On your microlight flight, you’ll see for miles as you whizz above the ground and might be lucky enough to spot game, including the Big Five, as it’s much easier to see animals from the air. At the end of your microlight flight, you’ll have a unique perspective on this beautiful part of the country. You have the option to sit and experience the flight and view the game or you can have hands on experience from the first flight should you so wish. The choice is yours.

We may have a few pick ups before we get to your lodge and will relay the ETA with you. Once we have all guests in the vehicle we will leave Hoedspruit and drive 60km to Orpen Gate. We will then check in and the guide will pay all the entrance fees before we can enter Kruger. Once we have finished with the formalities at reception we will be free to explore Kruger for the Day. The Area that we will be exploring is predominantly Savanah Grassland Biome spotted with Knob thorn acacias and Marula Trees. It is prime area for the grazing animals of Kruger National Park and is home to thousands of Zebras, Wildebeest, Impalas and a variety of other grass eating herbivores. This high number of prey species attracts a large number of Predators and the density of lions is very high in this area. We will also have excellent opportunities to spot other predators such as Wild Dog, Cheetah, Leopard and Hyena. We will spend the first part of the day exploring the area between the gate and Satara Rest camp and we will stop at a picnic site for guests to enjoy their packed breakfasts. Please note that there is no shop at the picnic site. After the short stop for breakfast we will continue East towards Satara, enjoying all the magnificent wildlife sightings along the way. We will then stop at Satara Camp for an own expense lunch at the camp restaurant. This one-hour microlight flight travels over Big Five game reserves and gives you a view of the magnificent Limpopo landscape in an area favoured for its superb weather all year round.
