Our Most Popular Daily Scheduled Trip Cape Town has one of the best locations to see the Sunset from the Sea. With the Atlantic Ocean stretching away from the majestic Table Mountain range, this is certainly a ‘must do’ cruise for locals and tourists alike. Toast the setting sun from the deck of one of Waterfront Charters amazing range of vessels. A complimentary glass of local sparkling wine (two glasses per guest, or a bottle for a couple) will be served, and the bar will be open for all other drinks for the duration of the cruise. Toast to the setting sun once more! Kids are welcome, and have a special price option. Cape Town weather can change five times a day, so our route from the harbour is not always predictable; the two options below are merely a guide. But no matter which direction we take be assured of a spectacular cruise. SUNSET UNDER SAIL The sailboats Esperance and Serenity One follow the wind for this cruise. They do not offer a specific destination for this reason; you will be advised before departure as to the expected direction. The typical Cape Town summer wind blows from the south-east; the boats use the motors to leave the harbour and then they sail across Table Bay towards Milnerton lighthouse, returning to the protection of Granger Bay in the lee of Table Mountain to watch the sunset, and then motor back to the Waterfront. In the winter months with the northwester prevalent, the direction taken will be toward the Clifton Coastline, or the Robben Island Coastline, also returning to Granger Bay. The wind and sea conditions change daily so the routing and style of the trip also change to meet the conditions; the skipper and crew will give you the best possible adventure. SUNSET ON A MOTOR VESSEL The Motor Vessels Sea Princess and Southern Cross follow a different route to the sailing boats. As they are not dependant on the wind they offer a destination and normally cruise slowly along the Atlantic seaboard towards Clifton beach and then return. [/responsivevoice] VARIATION TO CRUISE (DUE TO WEATHER) For all the vessels, when the seas are running too high or the wind is unpleasantly strong, instead of heading into Table Bay the destination is the Cape Town Harbour for a Harbour Lights Cruise; a perfect alternative offering magical views of Table Mountain and the lights of Cape Town and the harbour in the evening. In extreme conditions, the skipper will take every aspect into account, and even stay dockside to ensure the safety of the passengers . * In the unlikely event that the primary boat for this cruise is unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to utilize an alternative vessel for this experience. Be assured that Waterfront Charters will always make every possible effort to ensure that the advertised vessel is available. Some Cruises do not have a dedicated boat for the cruise and rely on a pool of available vessels at Waterfront Charters to cover fluctuations in weather, seasonal passenger numbers and planned maintenance.

The Hout Bay Ziplines as they are otherwise known, or Constantia ziplines, will bring out your inner adventurer. Next, you will be transported to the start of the Ziplines. The Cape Town ziplines, are made op of 11 platforms and 7 extra long cable which tower high in the mountains in between the Cape Floral Kingdom and overlooks the beautiful Cape Town. You will start your journey down a large canyon on one of the shorter cables. Only 270 m in length. Apart from the actual ziplines, you will also walk amongst the beautiful scenery of the mountains and fynbos. The tour itself, consists of 7 cables, and is considered on of Africa’s longest ziplines, totalling an incredible 2.3 km’s on length. The Highest cable from the ground is around 155 meters high. This one-day tour in the Western Cape offers a spectacular driving experience in our custom-built Safari Porsche 911 vehicles on some of the most scenic routes in South Africa. Departing from African Motorsport Safaris’ premises in Montague Gardens, Cape Town, we head to the seaside town of Gordon’s Bay where we continue with the R44 to Rooiels – a stunning 23-kilometer drive along the ocean. A short while later we stop for delicious coffee and croissants in the holiday village of Betty’s Bay. Our route then takes us via the Highlands dirt road to Elgin, with beautiful views of the winelands and mountains. Our route then take us over the Theewaterskloof dam bridge for some stunning photo opportunities. Next up is the famous Franschhoek Pass – a 13-kilometer winding route through the mountains and one of the best drives in the world! We stop at the summit outlook point for ice cold sparkling wine (alcohol- free) and photographs, marvelling at the Franschhoek valley and town below us. A 5-star Lunch is had in one of the many fine restaurants Franschhoek has to offer, with a glass of excellent wine.
