Our walk starts at the base of Table Mountain and winds its way up and onto the historic Pipe Track. Very quickly hikers will be afforded amazing views of Camps Bay and the Atlantic Ocean spread out in its vastness to the right. To the left will be both the flat plateau of Table Mountain itself and the undulating 12 Apostles showing off along the way. The trail runs parallel to the celebrated pipes that give this route its name and your guide will explain the significance of these to you in detail. The flowers are blooming in abundance at this time of year and there will be the chance to learn all about these and the many animals that inhabit Table Mountain from your expert guide. After 30 minutes of walking there will be the opportunity to relax in a lovely, shaded area as you take in the natural beauty around you. The walk in total will take about 1:30 hours and, once at the end, we’ll end by watching the sunset on a massive, semi-secret rock boulder that overlooks the ocean. From here it is a short trickle down to the road and a quick Uber ride back to your vehicles. Transport is complementary to the first 4 pax booked (subject to availiablity).

Guests are asked to check in at the Ocean Blue Adventures Shop, which is located in the Milkwood Centre, Hopwood Street, Plettenberg Bay, approximately 15 minutes before the planned departure time. Here you will sign in for the tour and meet your guide. After a pre-trip briefing, you will be accompanied by the guide in your own vehicle, to the starting point at Robberg Nature Reserve. Setting off along the northern side of the peninsula, your guide will share his knowledge of the area, as well as traditional uses for some of the plants and anecdotes about the various species of wildlife spotted. From The Gap, you climb up towards the cliffs overlooking the Cape Fur Seal colony, keeping a lookout for patrolling sharks. Then you head down a large sand dune onto the southern, 'Wildside' and across the tombola beach for a walk around the Island, before heading back towards the starting point. While sightings are never guaranteed, you might also spot pods of dolphins and whales. Please note that moderate levels of fitness are required to complete the walk. You are also advised to wear closed shoes (no sandals or flip-flops). Dress according to the prevailing weather and remember to bring a hat, sunblock and camera/binoculars. At the end of the tour, you will return to Ocean Blue and bid farewell to your guide.

Following up on a densely wooded kloof with exciting ladders next to waterfalls we will reach the white sandy beaches of Table mountain. This is the perfect route for a hot day in cape town allowing for a different perspective of table mountain. Quick route description Our hike will start in the beautiful Kirstenbosch gardens. from here we will hike up to the contour path via smuts track until the official start of the route. following the stepped path up the densely wooded gorge keeping to the left of the watercourse until we reach A STEEP SECTION WELL EQUIPED WITH LADDERS TO EASILY CLIMB OVER THE POLISHED ROCK. AFTER THIS THE ROUTE FOLLOWS THE ROCKY STREAM BED FOR A SHORT DISTANCE, BEFORE BEARING OUT TO THE RIGHT TO ZIG-ZAG UP THE SLOPE. HIGHER UP THE PATH CROSSES THE GORGE AGAIN TO TAKE THE LEFT SIDE TO THE TOP WHERE MOUNTAIN MEETS SANDY WHITE BEACH. Historical buildings surround three sides of The Braak (village green) During the 1809 and 1811 earth tremor, people rushed out of their houses onto the Braak. The Braak was already proclaimed by Simon van der Stel, the eleventh governor, as an open space for the people and as a military parade ground. Stellenbosch University has produced many famous South Africans - Prime Ministers and Sportsmen. Rugby and cricket was played on the Braak. Stellenbosch, synonymous with rugby, but the first Stellenbosch Springbok - Nico Theunissen - was a cricketer. In 1602 the VOC was established by the Here Sewentien. Four hundred years later the “Kruithuis” on the Braak proudly flies the flag of the VOC. Rhenish Institute, the oldest girl's boarding school in South Africa celebrated 150 years in 2010. Rhenish was the first school to teach Domestic Science and Needlework.
