As an alternative to the bungy jump and SkyWalk Tour, we have introduced Africa’s first and only Zipline & HangOut adventure! A combination of adventures for those seeking an exhilarating experience to join the vibe. Starting with a 200m Zipline that gets you into the middle of the bridge and once on the bridge, you get to experience another highlight, our famous Hang Out Zone! To finish off this tour, you get to walk the suspended SkyWalk back to land. We put you into a full body harness, where you first zipline out onto the bridge. Once out there, we connect you to our safety lines, and let you experience what it feels like to stand on the edge of the bridge at our Hang Out Zone and see the awe-inspiring view of the Bloukrans River Gorge below. (This is optional but is certainly recommended!) This is an experience of a lifetime, and ideally suited to those who aren’t quite ready for the jump. This is the BEST spot to watch the bungy jump in action! The Zipline & HangOut adventure is hosted with the same vibe and professionalism as the bungy experience and is a memorable addition to any tour or day outing. Experience a World of Diversity in One Forest - Situated in the Garden of the Garden Route and heart of Tsitsikamma, Stormsriver Adventures offers visitors Africa’s First – Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour. With adventure on the doorstep of your accommodation, Tsitsikamma caters for travelers from around the globe. Cuddle up in a hand knitted blanket by one of the locals while enjoying spectacular views of the Indian ocean coastline being surrounded by fauna and flora all around your bungalow. At Stormsriver Adventures we turn Tourism activities into Tourism experiences! Enjoy being suspended 30m above the forest floor on the Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour, cable sliding from ten platforms, tree to tree while discovering the spectacular and unique wilderness of the Tsitsikamma Indigenous forest. Surrounded by birdlife and giant trees like the Outeniqua Yellowwood, known to us as Uncle Sam who is over 600 years old! One can easily feel like a dwarf standing against it. The tour begins with a detailed safety briefing followed by a 'kitting up' session where full body harness, pulleys and climbing equipment is issued and checked. A short drive into the Tsitsikamma forest and it is time to monkey around! From the start on the launch platform a new world unfolds as one gently glides on a steel cable to the first tree platform. All groups are escorted through the forest canopy by a lead guide and a follow guide to ensure your safety as you slide from tree to tree. The platforms, built high up in the giant Outeniqua Yellowwoods, provide an unbelievable view of this enchanting new world - any fear of heights is soon lost as you gather in your new surroundings. Spend a couple of minutes relaxing while your guides enthusiastically explain the ecology of the forest - pointing out different trees and the magnificent giant ferns way below. The bird life is incredible. Knysna Loeries, sightings of the elusive Narina Trogon and the Vervet monkey are not uncommon. The Tsistikamma Canopy Tour© consists of 10 platforms and 10 'fufi' slides, the longest of which is 100m! About three hours later you exit the forest, having undertaken the journey of a lifetime. You have contributed to the creation of new jobs and are helping the forest regeneration project.
