The Crew is an hour and a half group surf package that offer coaching for three to six people per group. You'll gain a wider understanding regarding surfing in this surf lesson. We will start you off with an overview of your surfboard and how to handle the surfboard in and out of the ocean. Secondly focus on teaching you a winning pop-up technique that has helped hundreds of students catch their first wave! - Reading of waves: Where and when to catch waves will expand your knowledge to give you the confidence to catch your own waves. - Surf safety. - Steering left and right on a wave. - Eskimo / Turtle roll to get through waves and more. If you've had a few lessons before, we will assess your current surf ability at the beginning of the surf lesson and coach you to progress and what to focus on. Lastly, this lesson will include a lot of FUN! The best is to leave any valuables at your accommodation. There is the option to leave your phone, car keys or small bags with above mentioned items in the Surf Life vehicle, but this will be at your own risk and Surf Life Surf School PTY Ltd won't be held liable for any damages or losses.

A slow cruise or an adrenaline adventure Our boat rides are unique and can be tailored to your needs. On this trip lasting 1 hour, we take you on a cruise through the Harbour area and around the Bay, stopping at all the scenic spots along the way. We exit the Bay towards Noordhoek, where we view the highest point of Chapman’s Peak and Slangkop Lighthouse in the distance. We ride across towards Llandudno, going as far as Sandy Bay. We return via the crane wreck of the BOSS 400 in Maori Bay, and Duiker/Seal Island, where we stop and view the resident seal colony. Experience spectacular views of Chapman’s Peak, the Sentinel and Karbonkelberg and the world famous Dungeons area. We will stop to appreciate any significant sea life that we come across. Our boat is built for speed, but we will go as fast or as slow as is comfortable. We do specific speed runs for the adrenalin junkies, with high speed turns included. Our boat, CAWSAW, is an 8.5 m Gemini semi-rigid, with two 4-stroke 200 HP Yamaha Engines. It complies with all the regulations set by the South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA). The SAMSA approved safety equipment on board includes a radio, life jackets, a first aid kit and flares. The boat can accommodate up to 10 Passengers. There are always two crew members on board, consisting of the skipper and a deck hand. Our skippers and deck hands have over twenty years experience at sea.

On route back, the guides will take you through your paces and lead you through some fun technical sections, and the beautiful untouched famous indigenous forest. Do something different, challenging and above all, great fun. Be prepared to get dirty. Our Quad Bikes are designed to cater for ages 16 and above. If you have children under 16 who wish to join us on a tour, you are most welcome provided that they are accompanied by an adult driver and ride as a passenger to ensure the safety of the minor. All quad bikes are steered using handlebars, accelerate using a thumb throttle and brake using four fingers. Gear shifting is controlled by an automatic clutch and an electronic button shift system, making it a more enjoyable experience without worrying about the change of gears.
